Dominance and yelling in ravens.
  1. Five birds, ranked alpha to epsilon, were first placed together, and yelling rates were measured.

  2. Yelling rates when the alpha bird was removed (indicated by R).

  3. Yelling rates when the alpha and beta birds were removed.

  4. Yelling rates when the alpha, beta, and gamma birds were removed.
Thus, dominant individuals suppress the yelling behavior of those below their rank.
